Salary is 40K-50K depending on experience. 2-10 direct reports

Supervise and collect outstanding receivable through telephone and written communication on a daily basis.

Supervise the staff's monitoring of assigned accounts in order to provide cash flow and bottom-line profitability.

Resolve discrepancies of payments on a timely basis

Work closely with credit department when additional credit is required or account is delinquent and possible credit suspension is under consideration.

Review and approve write-offs.

Escalate overdue AR for additional collection efforts.

Maintain working knowledge of industry and economic events having an impact on operations.

Review, maintain, and generate reporting to identify delinquent accounts and other collection measurements.

Provide follow up on identified issues and discrepancies.

Train and familiarize staff on current collection and cash application policies and procedures.

Ensure collection policies and procedures are adhered to.

Assign workload and set priority for staff.

Monitor and evaluate staff's performance and recommend training and development when appropriate.

Provide assistance to the AR Manager and other Management personnel and perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge and understanding of standard accounts receivable / collection procedures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of Management.

Excellent ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers in person and over the phone.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while paying attention to detail.

Ability to gather and interpret data, compile information and prepare reports.

Ability to train new hires on policies and procedures.

Ability to develop and mentor staff.

Systems
Experience: ERP systems experience preferred, JD Edwards a plus. Proficiency in Excel and Word required

4 Year College Degree is required

Minimum of 2 years in a Leadership Role

Functional in Excel (Intermediate) - Pivot Tables, Advanced Filter, and V-look-up specifically

Process Oriented - Familiar with preparing process flow charts for improving collection processes

Customer Service Oriented - Comfortable with account escalation to bring AR resolution

o Past Collections Experience - WHSE Supervisor will be assigned accounts for collection follow-up

Detailed Oriented - Think issues/problems through and provide leadership feedback for resolution if unable to resolve

Personnel/HR Experience - Experience preparing/calculating mathematical data for performance evaluations and corrective actions

o Experience documenting the commentary for supporting performance ratings on performance evaluations

years in a leadership role. Shared services environment, and/or transportation industry experience preferred.

The employee is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking, stooping, filing, lifting or standing is required. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
